Nicholas Meyer FST 201- Filmmaker Statement My personal experience in film has been diverse if relatively unaccomplished. I have had a passion for film and filmmaking for as long as I can remember, however, I didn't actually start trying to make shorts until later in high school. I believe it was in the summer between my junior and senior year when my friends and I created a youtube channel and started making shorts for it. We didn't put a lot of time or effort into them, as we essentially made them up on the spot and filled them with humor we knew only we would find funny. We ended up making about half of a dozen of these shorts, and while I didn't learn a lot about the film making process, I ended up discovering a passion in making them.
