Blog Post 4: Vox Pops and B-Roll

Shooting our vox pops and B-roll was an interesting and unique experience, unlike anything I've done before. My group filmed on three separate occasions,  our interview, our vox-pops, and additional b-roll, however each time we filmed, we collected B-roll. When we filmed our interview, we filmed B-roll around the offices of Pheonix hometown hires, as well as outside the building. We filmed our vox pops at an event hosted by Pheonix hometown hires in a church near downtown. While there, we asked vox pops questions to participants in the program, as well as volunteers in the program. The best part of this experience was filming a vox pop with a UNCW student who was working with the program as part of her major. She was willing to speak and build off of our questions and was able to give a great summary of the program and her experience with it. We also returned to the Pheonix hometown hires offices and filmed additional B-roll both in and outside the building to give better perspective and shots of the building.
